The wedding will take place in the providence of Messina.  The hotels that we have put up on this website are mainly located in Milazzo, a town in Messina.  Milazzo has access to beautiful beaches, great food and trips to the neighboring Aeolian Islands.

The best site we have found on information on Siciy is http://www.bestofsicily.com/index.htm.  If you are planning on traveling through Sicily, this website even has a Trip Planning Center where you can book tours and even car rentals.  We recommend renting a car at the airport into which you arrive or in Messina if you want to tour the sites of Sicily.  Taxis are available in Messina but if you want to leave Messina, it can be very expensive (and unreliable) getting there by taxi.

If you have time, there are definitely a few places that we highly recommend visiting: Taormina (the beaches are the best), Mount Etna, Siracusa and Agrigento.

If you are anything like us, a wine tour is a necessity on any vacation. Italy's largest contiguous grape-growing region lies in the far west of Sicily.
